Sterrekopje, a biodiverse farm based in the picturesque Franschhoek, is looking for a focused and practically oriented individual to join their team as Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, curious at heart and shows initiative to enhance and maintain the farm’s guesthouse. The successful candidate will report to the Farm Manager and will be responsible for (but not limited to): *electrical maintenance *plumbing, including daily inspection of public areas to prevent blockages *identify and resolve carpentry issues *painting *daily room inspection *weekly site inspection and fault reporting *general guest assistance: loading of luggage, parcel deliveries, assist guests with directions and facility/layout enquiries *inspection of roofs and gutters to ensure they are clean and free from blockages/obstructions *daily gas checks *general pool and equipment maintenance *maintenance of golf cars and bicycles *hotel setup and breakdown *all other maintenance tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric required, relevant training/qualification will be advantageous; • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role; • Drivers license & own reliable transport; • Strong communication skills (Afrikaans & English).
