Groen Karoo Agri offers an opportunity for an Electrician to assist with installation, maintenance, and repairing of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings to join their team in the Breede River Valley and Winelands area. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Electricians. Duties will include (but not be limited to): *Assisting with installation of electrical systems (including wiring, conduits, fixtures, and other electrical components) *Assisting in troubleshooting electrical issues and making basic repairs (under supervision) *Setting up and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety *Assisting in inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulations *Safely use various hand and power tools common to the electrical trade *Assisting in documenting electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance procedures *Assisting Senior Electricians in all aspects of their work (including reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics) *All other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Enrolment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program; • Electrical Artisan qualification preferred; • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position; • Wireman’s license will be advantageous; • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components; • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety; • Valid driver’s license.
