Our client, a wine farm situated in the Southern Suburbs (Cape Town), has a position available for an experienced and reliable Hospitality Manager with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for hospitality within the wine industry. This position is suited to a driven individual with a service excellence mindset that can set and implement high standards for service-delivery, whilst transferring skills and knowledge to the front of house team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the guest experience throughout the Estate, whilst driving sales and motivating teams in the tasting rooms. Duties: Hospitality • Overseeing floor managers & provide training to all Tasting Room staff; • Assisting PR & Events Coordinator in arranging functions - tasting room, meetings, staff functions and marketing functions; • Managing & providing exceptional customer service. Duties: Administration • Conducting opening and closing duties of all Tasting Rooms and stores; • Managing front of house staff (including monthly rosters, overtime approvals, disciplinary action, recruitment, etc.); • Handling online reviews and customer complaints; • Evaluating service and offering to create and adapt plans for improvements; • Overseeing orders for front of house stock (e.g. retail, water, packaging, etc.) in line with budget; • Ensuring stock control and reconciliation of storerooms; • Setting monthly sales targets & creating sales strategy in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Manager; • Preparing and presenting monthly sales and operation reports; • Executing business objectives. Minimum Requirements: • Matric; • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry managing large sales/service teams; • Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans); • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport; • Willingness to work hours as per industry requirements. Advantageous: • Tertiary qualification/practical training in Hospitality or similar field.
