Our client, situated in the Hexrivier Valley, has a position available for an experienced Production Manager known for a hands-on approach, as well as exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities. The successful candidate will form part of the Exco, and will report to the Chairman. Responsibilities will include overall management of table grape unit (± 100 ha) situated in De Doorns. The duties will include: *Management of production processes *Budgeting and cost-effective application of resources *Management of personnel, including training and developmental *Record-keeping of all processes, including quality management systems and ethical compliance *Planning and coordination of harvest schedules *Management of facilities and maintenance operations *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Matric (tertiary qualification in Agriculture will be advantageous); • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role in the table grape industry; • Knowledge of relevant quality systems and audit processes; • Strong computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Valid driver’s license.
