Breëland Wines and Function Venue, based in the Slanghoek valley, is seeking to appoint an experienced individual with an unquenchable thirst for sharing Breëland Wine Cellar and our award-winning wines and unique function venue to the broader public. The ideal candidate is an energetic, independent and highly driven individual that can function under pressure and be innovative when needed. The main function of the role will include oversight over, and execution of, daily operations within the Tasting Room, Restaurant, Function Venue, and Accommodation, as well as overall brand positioning within the market. Tasks will include: *Oversight of the tasting room, including personnel management *Private and group wine tastings *Liaison with the Chef, Wine Consultant and Social Media Manager to ensure a quality customer experience *Manage all client interactions *Liaison with external stakeholders, such as Tourism Association, Wine Cellars and other Wine Bodies *Manage and organise events and functions *Manage online wine sales and orders *Conduct stock control *Provide monthly statistics and data *Foster a guest-centric culture among team members *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric, a tertiary qualification within Hospitality/Marketing will be beneficial; • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position; • Previous experience in Wine Tasting, Hospitality and Client Service; • Excellent computer & numerical literacy (specifically Excel); • Drivers license and own reliable transport; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays and when weddings/functions are hosted.
