The Perdeberg Group, situated in the Paarl wine region, is looking to a appoint an independent contractor (individual/freelancer/company) with a proven track record to manage their online presence and execute social media and engagement strategies. The initial scope of work will be for 6 months, to be re-evaluated at the end of the 6-month period. The successful candidate is an innovative, well-organised and energetic individual with excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic marketing environment. This position will report to the Marketing Manager and play a vital role in enhancing the Perdeberg brand and fostering meaningful customer connections. Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Collaborating with graphic designer, agencies, and cross-functional departments *Managing, creating content and posting to all social media platforms that Perdeberg uses, including Facebook, X (previously known as Twitter), Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Google & TikTok *Managing the online community *Digital PR (assist Marketing Manager with coordination social media campaigns) *Social media & campaign reporting *Managing of advertising budget *All administrative tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Tertiary qualification in social media/digital marketing; • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role with expertise in social media management across paid and organic; • Proven experience with social media strategy, utilising social media to increase brand awareness and generate quality leads and conversion for web and e-commerce; • Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms with a good understanding of best practices for each; • Good understanding of the following tools: Meta Business Manager, Social Media Management tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Hootsuite), Google Analytics, Google Ads.
