Future Tree Nurseries in Malelane (Mpumalanga), a subsidiary of Agristar Macadamias, has the above exciting growth opportunity available for a Nursery Manager. The ideal candidate is ambitious and dynamic, and will be involved with the operational management and strategic planning of the nursery, to support the overall growth of the company. This role will provide the opportunity to advance to General Manager level, overseeing various international nurseries. The successful candidate will report to the Group Technical Director and will be responsible for (but not be limited to): *Managing nursery personnel *Scheduling, managing and monitoring production actions (including irrigation, fertilizing, pest control, weed and sucker management) *Customer liaison and marketing *Budget management *Industry interaction and attendance of symposiums *Reporting and data analytics *Managing production administration (stock counts, girdle schedule, risk management) *Trial management and feedback *Implementation of actions related to various accreditations *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification; • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Fluent in English, Siswati will be advantageous; • Willingness to travel in the Southern Regions of Africa.
