Our client, operating in the fruit export industry, is seeking a commercially-minded and influential individual for the above mentioned position at their head office in Somerset West. The ideal incumbent has excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a proven track record pertaining to establishing relationships with both local and international clients and producers. Key performance areas include: *Demand planning with clients and producers *Ensuring compliance with customer packaging and specification requirements across the value chain *Monitoring and managing weekly packaging and shipping plans *Identifying marketing opportunities and negotiating competitive pricing strategies *Quality profile management *Managing product budgeting & reporting *Building relationships, providing feedback, and ensuring competitive returns to producers *all other tasks related to the role. Minimum requirements: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Commerce; • 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the fruit export industry; • Valid license and own vehicle; • Willingness to travel nationally and abroad.
