The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and has the ability to provide technical advice to various stakeholders. Duties will include: *Provide input on the strategic direction of TopNut based on grower needs and feedback *Variety management of new varieties (including evaluation, selection, importation and establishment) *Variety management of current varieties (evaluations and other R&D activities to identify opportunities & risks) *Provide technical support to growers *Provide post-harvest support *Provide technical input to support marketing actions *Manage plant material orders and related process *Interaction with industry bodies locally and internationally *All other duties related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture; • Honours degree in Plant Physiology will be advantageous; • Relevant horticultural short courses will be beneficial; • At least 5 years' technical experience with Tree Nuts; • Knowledge of Intellectual Property in the agricultural sector; • Valid driver’s license; • Willingness to travel extensively.
