Our client in the agricultural industry is looking for a hands-on General Manager to manage all financial and administrative operational functions of the company. The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen and managerial capabilities, paired with excellent administrative proficiency and problem solving abilities. The incumbent will report to the CEO, and key performance areas will include: *Operational Management: System & process improvements (financial, production and admin), including reporting and database management; Oversight over HR, OHS and IT; Review business contracts and manage risks in conjunction with CEO. *Financial Management: Responsible for all financial functions & policies, including cashflow, reporting, budgets, statutory requirements, cost calculations and liaison with auditors on tax related submissions. *Personnel Management: Management of direct reports, Support CEO with recruitment of new personnel. *All ad hoc duties related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Degree in Accounting or related field; • Completed articles (SAIPA/SAICA) advantageous; • At least 5 years' relevant experience in the agricultural industry; • Strong communication skills (Afrikaans & English); • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Sage Pastel); • Own reliable transport.
