Habata, one of SA’s leading producers of fresh fruit and vegetables, has the above position available for a proactive and hands-on Production Manager with strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will report to the Production Director and will be responsible for the overall management of fruit production units (150 ha in total) situated in Addo, including: *Overall management and control of production processes *Effective resources & cost management *Effective workforce management (30 permanent staff and +- 300 seasonal), including training & development *Recordkeeping and documentation pertaining to quality management and ethical processes *Facilities management & maintenance. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture; • Approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the fruit industry (citrus preferable); • Knowledge of relevant quality systems; • Strong computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel); • Afrikaans & English (isiXhosa will be highly beneficial); • Valid driver’s license.
