Namaqua Wines, based in the Olifants River Wine Region, currently has a position available for an enthusiastic and hardworking Junior Viticulturist to join their team. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English), good work ethic, and the ability to perform well in both team context and individually. This position will report to the Viticulturist, and will fulfill duties for both the Spruitdrift and Vredendal Cellars. Duties will include: *assisting with SAWIS and EzyWine *assist with maintaining the geographic areas of the vineyards *providing assistance at farm level regarding IPW *assisting with scheduling incoming grape deliveries during harvest *monitoring of blocks during growing season and harvest time *involved in block gradings *scheduling grapes at Cellars *all other administrative tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • BSc Agric Viticulture and Oenology, Elsenburg Qualification or similar; • Experience in viticulture will count in applicant's favor. • Good computer proficiency (MS Office), EzyWine will be advantageous; • Own reliable transport with valid driver’s license; • Willingness to work overtime when required, especially during harvest season.
