Mullineux and Leeu Passant Wines, based in the Swartland and Franschhoek areas respectively, has the above exciting opportunity available, for an experienced, sales-driven National Trade Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will act as Brand Ambassador for Mullineux and Leeu Passant Wines, and be responsible for the growth of sales in the trade in South Africa, by value and volume. Strategic insight, excellent relationship management skills, and superb interpersonal & negotiating abilities are crucial to the role. Duties include: *customer relationship management *new business development *finding new customers, new listings, online, on-con and off-con *collaborating with distributor –Representatives & Regional Sales Managers *key account management *ensure customers have enough stock *process trade orders *ensure wines are well presented on shelves and priced appropriately *increase awareness of wines and encouraging sales in collaboration with Marketing Manager *manage in-store tastings, tastings with trade customers, staff training *presenting wines and company according to brand ethos and image *conduct regular trade visits to Gauteng, Garden Route and KZN *monitor and analyse sales progress, by trade customers and distributors *all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Matric required, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous; • Cape Wine Academy or WSET certification essential; • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office); • Fluent in English (written & verbal skills); • Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis.
