Dornier Wines, a well established Winery based in Stellenbosch, has the abovementioned position available for an energetic and dynamic Assistant Winemaker to assist the Winemaker with all activities related to the winemaking process. The Assistant Winemaker will report to the Winemaker and will be responsible for: *all activities relating to harvest *quality control *stock take and procurement *SAWIS administration & compliance with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulations *full management of administration relating to Dornier’s live winemaking module *operation and maintenance of cellar infrastructure *lab analysis and sampling*general cellar work and all other functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • BSc Agric Viticulture and Oenology, Elsenburg Qualification OR similar, with the main interest in Oenology; • Minimum 3 years’ winemaking experience; • Laboratory experience will be advantageous; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Ezy Wine); • Own reliable transport with valid driver’s license; • Willingness to work overtime when required, especially during harvest season.
