SA Wine, a newly formed and dynamic organisation committed to fostering inclusive growth and transformation within the wine and brandy industry, is seeking an Enterprise Development Manager.
The successful candidate will primarily be required to spearhead the advancement of enterprise development, secure funding, coordinate support for black-owned farms and black enterprises in the full wine and brandy value chain, fostering their growth towards commercially sustainable entities, promoting equitable industry access and socio-economic upliftment.
Key Performance Areas:
• Provide strategic direction within the Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) environment;
• Establish and maintain a strong business and stakeholder relations to support the growth of black owned businesses and farms in the industry;
• Collaborate with Stakeholders and facilitate funding and business opportunities for black owned farms and enterprises;
• Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with Service Providers/Funders and connect black-owned business owners with the appropriate support services;
• Support black-owned enterprises in gaining market access, including local and international markets;
• Foster a culture of transformation in the wine & brandy value chain by effectively communicating transformation goals and objectives to key Stakeholders;
• Facilitate and coordinate the socio-economic development strategy that aligns with the overarching industry strategy to address social upliftment and responsible production and alcohol consumption.
Minimum Requirements:
• Relevant Degree in Business/Economics/HR;
• Certification in B-BBEE Management Development Programme;
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role;
• Proven fundraising and sponsorship experience;
• Strong project management and change management capabilities;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the South African wine & brandy value chain and relevant regulation;
• Ability to work in a matrix or multi-disciplinary organisation.
