The facility allows for an area with a unique atmosphere rich with heritage and rooted in tradition, where quality of life and excellence in 17 different sports and a country club-like sporting community, is of utmost importance. The sport clubs include Cricket, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Tennis, Padel, Lawn Bowls, Baseball, Vineyard Dog Agility, Squash, Fitklub, Eikestad Crossfit, MMA, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate, Soccer, and soon a Swimming club. The facility is looking to appoint an energetic sports enthusiast as Facilities and Sports Manager. Reporting to the EXCO, this full-time role will include: *Coordinating, planning and supervising day-to-day operations *Scheduling, arranging and managing respective sport seasons by allocating resources, fields etc. to accommodate all codes *Managing operational staff *Ensuring maintenance and upkeep of buildings and surrounding open areas *Managing event bookings of fields with external companies or organisations *Ensuring external event plans are in line with municipal guidelines *Managing security services and all other 3rd party service providers *Actively market club memberships and provide exceptional VDS Member services *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sports Management role or related recreational field; • Proven track record in sports (coaching, managing, playing etc.); • Ability to manage a variety of sports and respective club management teams; • Willingness to work overtime when required for big sporting events; • Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license.
