Our client, Overhex Private Cellar, situated in Worcester, has an exciting position available for an energetic and dynamic Assistant Winemaker, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join their team and assist in delivering on strategic and quality objectives of the cellar. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager/Winemaker, duties will include: *The coordination of cellar & harvesting activities *Involved in the total winemaking process *Cutting and stabilization of wine *Assist with quality control systems e.g. ISO 22000, IPW & WIETA *Assisting with marketing activities & offering wine tastings *Control & supervision of cellar staff *Cellar hygiene & administration *all other tasks associated with the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Viticulture & Oenology; • Minimum 1-2 years' winemaking experience; • Strong computer skills (MS Office, WineMS); • Experience with IPW & SAWIS will be advantageous; • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans); • Own reliable transport and valid driver's license.
