Witzenberg Computer Services (Pty) Ltd., a service provider exclusive to its shareholders, Laastedrif Agri and Môrester Estate, has a position available for an IT Network Specialist based onsite at their office in Ceres. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and maintaining information systems and infrastructure to support business objectives. This includes integration of suitable re-engineering programs across the group, managing of projects and operations requirements concurrently, and managing a diverse set of solutions across multiple companies. Duties will include: *Assisting with preparation of annual budget and implementing cost controls *Asset management - oversee IT assets and security of all company assets *Information Technology Management *Recovery plan, manage cyber threats, oversee daily backup, align IT Strategies, manage IT software and hardware, document configuration of critical business operations systems, monitor company-wide IT standards and procedures *Manage and maintain Emergency/Disaster Recovery Plan * IT Operations Management: o provide appropriate support to users & address queries o software license purchase and verification o oversee software and hardware application installations o oversee maintenance of equipment o evaluate status of hardware and software and report annually o oversee software updates o manage all network administration o monitor all services of service providers o development and implement strategies, policies and procedures * Business Systems Management o oversee creation and maintenance of users o ensure alignment of business systems with business objectives o evaluate IT needs of all stakeholders o oversee system functionality o optimize system capabilities o perform enhancement in a cost effective manner o address and solve business system problems o control system updates o compile specification for changes, document changes, monitor, evaluate and test changes before implementation (test environment) Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary IT qualification and MSCE/MCSA certification required, business-related qualifications advantageous; • Knowledge of Unifi equipment or willingness to attend relevant training essential; • Minimum 5 years' IT Network experience on operational and strategic level; • Project management & business systems applications experience; • Business/commercial process experience on operational level.
