Puris Natural Aroma Chemicals, situated in the Paarl, has the above-mentioned position available for a proactive and solution-oriented Laboratory Analyst/Technologist with excellent analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Formulation and preparation of Buchu oil orders and samples as per client specification *Quality control analysis: Specific gravity, Refractive index, Aldehyde determination, Gas chromatography analysis *Stock control assistance: Buchu oil stocklist update as per incoming or outgoing batches and assisting with stocktaking *Laboratory assistance: Ensuring calibration of instruments are up to date, monitoring and ordering of laboratory consumables, assisting with FSSC and annual certification. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • BSc Degree/Diploma in Chemistry or Food Science; • Approximately 2-3 years’ relevant laboratory experience; • Experience with GC analyses will be advantageous; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
