NexusAG, with its head office in Paarl, is a leading provider of agricultural crop solutions to optimise healthy crops and contribute to food security.
NexusAG currently has the above vacancy for a dynamic and organised individual with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a commercial mindset, to join their team. In addition, the ideal candidate has the ability to work accurately and thoroughly, whilst being able to perform under pressure.
Minimum requirements include a post-graduate tertiary qualification (BSc Hons/MScSoil Science and/or MSc Horticulture) and approximately 8 years relevant experience in a similar business environment and industry. Candidates with practical experience insetting up and managing plant nutrition programs for permanent crops, and excellent computer skills (SAGE, MS Office – Excel and Power Point specifically), will be preferred.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Technical Unit and responsibilities will include, amongst others:
- Determining and defining the scope and objectives of various Nexus technical projects, in collaboration with other Technical Managers - with a focus on total crop management programs;
- Processing and interpretation of data, using the latest technology resources available;
- Collection, processing, and interpretation of relevant information for the establishment of technical projects, and competitive crop management programs;
- Direct and regular liaison with all role players including customers, agents, suppliers and industry bodies;
- Providing technical advice and support to clients and agents;
- Guidance regarding research, product development, technical training and strategic development;
- All administrative tasks related to the position.
