Sunfield Home Wellington residential facility and protected workshop for intellectually disabled adults, is a well-established, non-profit company, and has the above-mentioned position available.

The ideal candidate has the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships, and treat residents in a patient and empathic manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting residents' well-being by providing high-quality nursing care in a safe environment. Duties will include: *management of sick-bay, medical and care services to residents/day visitors *routine nursing procedures, as well as appropriate medical management *referral to doctors, hospitals and other therapeutic services *coordinating and handling of emergencies (including after hours) *control, management and distribution of medication and medical supplies *inspections of facilities to maintain excellent health and safety *coordination and application of health and safety plan *management and training of caregivers *cultivating a supportive and compassionate environment to ensure optimal care of residents *all other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Diploma/degree in Nursing;
• Registration with SANC;
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in primary health care and/or psychiatry required, experience of intellectual disabilities would be beneficial;
• Excellent computer literacy;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);
• Valid driver’s license.
