Kromco (Pty) Ltd, one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry and situated in Grabouw, has the above-mentioned position available for a dynamic and energetic individual with the ability to communicate effectively on all levels to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for: *Packing Material Planning: Ensuring timeous availability of packing material according to production/packhouse needs; managing optimum stock levels of packing material in the packaging stores.*Service delivery: Ensuring that best prices are negotiated with suppliers; driving effective communication and service delivery towards suppliers and internal clients; improving and maintaining systems and processes. *Financial Management: Ensuring effective cost management of packing material budget and forecasts; ensuring that financial transactions, stock controls, procedures, and reporting are done accurately and timeously with necessary record-keeping; driving cost-saving initiatives in all areas involved. *Quality management and compliance: Implementing and maintaining processes pertaining to quality of packing material according to marketing &production specifications; ensuring compliance in terms of Health and Safety and BRC audit standards. *Personnel Management: Planning, organising and managing employees in the packing material store and carton assembly area; maintaining discipline in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act; identifying training needs. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance/accounting/ business economics/ supply chain or similar; • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in purchasing, including experience in quality standards, customer specifications and packing material; • Sound knowledge of food safety & OHS regulations; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office).
