Our client, a leader in the supply of packaging material to various markets in the agricultural field, has a position for a Financial Clerk to monitor financial data and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and processed - an ideal position for a proactive and analytical individual looking to grow with the company.

The position will be based at the head office in Paarl.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure that financial records are accurate and up to date. Duties will include: *recording of financial transactions *processing of purchase orders and invoices *tax & statutory compliance *developing and maintaining accounting records and internal control procedures *management/cost accounting *assistance with financial reports *debtors management and responding to customer inquiries *cashbooks, accounts payable processing, reconciliation & management *relevant HR tasks *short term insurance claims *office administration *all other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Matric and a diploma in Accounting or similar qualification;
• Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role in a related field;
• Knowledge of migration of systems;
• Knowledge of Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation advantageous;
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel & software such as Sage Pastel Partner, Sage Evolution, Pastel Payroll);
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);
• Valid driver's license.
