Bulk Wine Centre, located in Paarl (Western Cape), is looking for a CEO with a passion for and knowledge of the local and international wine industry. The role is suited to a solutions-oriented and commercially astute individual with significant management experience, strong project management abilities, and excellent negotiation skills. The CEO will report to the Group CEO and be responsible for driving the successful implementation of BWC’s strategy and providing direction that ensures attainment of targets and a good standing in the Industry amongst stakeholders. Key Performance Areas include: *Relationship management pertaining to local and international stakeholders *Planning, Strategy Development & implementation *Financial Management *People Leadership and Management *Corporate Governance. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant qualification in Winemaking and a degree in Business Management; • Minimum 10 years' experience in the wine industry (this includes experience working with international trade and in the SA Bulk Wine environment, as well as experience with wine operations, logistics & common industry business knowledge); • Willingness to travel (locally and internationally). Key Technical Competencies: • Good understanding of different wine styles and price points, within the South African and Global bulk wine environment; • Good understanding of wine quality control systems, procedures and practices; • Knowledge and understanding of bulk wine export process.
