Roodezandt (Pty) Ltd RF, with cellars in Robertson and McGregor (Western Cape), has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Winemaker with strong leadership skills, and the ability to lead the cellar teams in producing award-winning wines.

The successful candidate will report to the CEO and be responsible for: *coordination of harvest activities *full winemaking process with the cellar teams *cellar staff management *blending and stabilization of wine *ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, accreditations/certifications (IPW,SAWIS, HACCP), and ethical audits (WIETA) *inventory management and product administration *cellar hygiene and health & safety requirements *liaison with suppliers, wine buyers and clients *delivery of cellar budget controls and reporting *industry involvement on various related forums *all other tasks related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• A tertiary qualification in Viticulture and Oenology;
• At least 10 years’ independent winemaking experience;
• Excellent winemaking track record, including experience with local and international bulk and bottled wines;
• Thorough knowledge of relevant quality systems and accreditations;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office);
• Valid driver’s license.
