Are you an innovative & resourceful leader, with excellent product management & sales skills?

Our client, a leading payments service provider, is looking for a Business Development Lead to act as Product Manager for 'Yap', their SME presentment and payment solution. The incumbent will operate and supervise sales & marketing, key stakeholder and partner management, solution design & development, operations, and reporting.

Role responsibilities: *Ensure that annual Yap transaction volume budget expectations and Yap business unit’s net profit expectations are met *Drive the onboarding of SMEs through large aggregator partners *Drive marketing initiatives to stimulate awareness and transaction growth within Yap users *Supervise the operations platform within the company to support Yap operations *Liaise with legal & compliance team to ensure regulatory and legal compliance *Relationship & stakeholder management *Solution design & project development *Reporting *Liaising with internal teams to drive expansion of company operations to Africa & international markets *and any other relevant duties related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification;
• Proven experience in developing business(es) or business initiatives to scale within the payments or financial services industry;
• Experience in online business applications and a good understanding of developing user experience (UX) applications;
• Excellent communication and report writing skills;
• Fluent in English (Afrikaans will be beneficial);
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite);
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel;
• Clear criminal, fraud and credit record.

Note that this is a hybrid role, and will require time in office (Stellenbosch/JHB, Bryanston).
