Riebeek Valley Wine Co., based in Riebeek Kasteel, is recruiting for a Financial Manager to act as custodian and overall manager of the financial capital of the business. The role requires accurate financial reporting and processing, solid business acumen, and the ability to align internal processes and decisions with the long-term strategy of the company. Whilst leading the Financial team, this role will report to the CEO and have an active role in the day-to-day management of the business. Responsibilities will include: *overall financial and administrative functions of the company by overseeing the financial and administrative management of all business activities of RVWC *preparing and managing budgets *monthly management reports *preparing financial statements and assisting auditors *managing internal control systems *inventory cost controls *VAT and excise calculations *managing internet banking payments *producing accurate results for harvest income and payments top producers *managing finance staff *maintaining and effectively managing the EazyPro operational and financial system *overseeing accuracy of salaries, wages and other statutory HR compliance *all other tasks relevant to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar required; • Completed SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles highly advantageous; • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar Financial Manager role; • Excellent computer proficiency (Excel, Accounting packages etc.); • Experience in the wine industry will be valuable.
