Our client, Kromco (Pty) Ltd, situated in Grabouw, is one of the major role players in the pome fruit industry and has the above-mentioned position available for a dynamic and energetic Logistics Foreman to join their Logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for: *Fruit Receiving: Receive fruit from Fruit Intake, Pre-Sort, Packhouse or other Cold Rooms *Storage of Fruit: Store fruit in RA and CA Cold Rooms according to fruit flow program and protocols *Dispatch of Fruit: Dispatch the correct fruit at the right time according to instructions *Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory and status of fruit on the NS Pack system *Empty Bins: Handling, cleaning and storage of empty bins on site *Personnel Management: Maintain discipline in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act *Financial Management: Assist with cost management of the Logistic budget *Audit Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment in line with the company’s Safety System, Complete incident investigations and make recommendations to prevent the recurrence of incidents, Ensure that Logistic Documentation and working methods comply with BRCGS Standards *Innovations: The incumbent is expected to develop innovative thinking that focuses on systems, processes and working methods to ensure continuous improvement *All other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations or Logistics Management; • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Production/Packhouse environment, 2 of which in a supervisory/management capacity; • Knowledge and understanding of bin handling in RA and CA cold rooms; • Excellent Computer literacy (MS Office); • Good knowledge of Food Safety & Safety regulations; • Communicate effectively on all levels.
