Our client, a leading payments service provider based in Stellenbosch, is looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with excellent project management and risk assessment capabilities, as well as the ability to negotiate. The Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with its outside regulatory requirements as well as internal policies. The incumbent will engage with the regulators, identify and manage regulatory and business risk, and design and implement relevant policies as required. Key Performance Areas include: *Regulatory engagements – PASA/PIB, PAN,SARB, FSCA *KYC and Due-Diligence *Managing card association registrations and requirements *Bank engagements - TPPP requirements *ESG. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in the legal field; • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial/payment industry; • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans); • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel); • Own reliable transport; • Clear criminal, fraud and credit record.
