Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd., is an established commercial agricultural enterprise, specialising in the primary production of fresh fruit and vegetable produce. Laastedrif Agri (Pty) Ltd. serves a range of local supermarkets as well as international markets. Our client has a vacancy available for a Human Resource/Ethical Trade Manager to join their team, based in Ceres. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for ensuring that all business units and packhouses are compliant with all relevant requirements. Duties will include: *annual and ad hoc audits and statutory certifications *management of various aspects of the company's food safety programme *international and local liaison at producer, wholesale and statutory levels *recruitment and selection of permanent and seasonal staff *management of fringe benefits and drafting of employment contracts *coordination of all training programmes and submission of Workplace Skills and Employment Equity reports *management of and guidance to HR Officers and Wage Processing Clerks *assistance to managers and supervisors regarding disciplinary actions and handling of CCMA cases *management of wages and personnel information systems, including monitoring and reconciliation of leave, overtime and statutory requirements *management of employee-housing *active participation in internal and external Ethical and BEE compliance audits *managing and monitoring of all accreditation and crop protection programs *administration of the company's Quality Management & Safety System *all other tasks related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture/Human Resources/Food Safety; • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a labour intensive fresh produce production/packaging facility or similar; • Knowledge of labour legislation and food safety protocols, as well as practical implementation of, among others: BRC/HACCP/GlobalGAP/SIZA and related requirements; • Experience in environmental impact management will be advantageous; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, specifically Excel); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Valid driver's license and own transport.
