Huis Te Merwede, situated in the beautiful Breedekloof Valley, Rawsonville, is looking for a Guest Experience Ambassador to join their team. The Guest Experience Ambassador - a hands-on position, and all-rounder in the hospitality field that reports to the Facility Manager and is responsible for the smooth and successful operation of the Tea Room, Kitchen and associated outdoor spaces. He/She will lead the team in helping guests feel special and at home, serve wholesome baked treats, quality teas as well other relevant offerings and meeting the presentation style and quality commitment of the brand. The successful candidate will report to the Facility Manager and have the following duties: *running day-to-day kitchen operations *ensuring overall high standard of service delivery *maintaining a clean and well organised kitchen and Tea Room *maintaining the destination image in line with the company brand *staff management, including HR policies and discipline *overseeing effective and accurate stock management *handling customer queries and complaints *menu development and tea room expansion (creative ideas to help grow Tea Room) *assist the Facility Manager with organising on-site events *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Matric required, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous; • Minimum 2 years' experience in either kitchen management/chef/baking/hospitality; • Light treats, cakes or general baking skills will be a strong advantage; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English & Afrikaans; • Driver’s license and reliable own transport; • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as required.
