Southern Cape Vineyards, located in Ladismith, has a position available for a driven Winemaker with strong leadership skills to join their team. The ideal candidate has an analytical approach to work and a passion for producing superior quality bulk wine, as well as a keen interest in the production of mostly white cultivar wines. The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for: *liaising with producers and harvest planning *the process of winemaking and blending according to required standards *planning and intake of grapes *wine production records, communication and signing off on third-party wines *cellar staff management *cellar administration *all other tasks related to the role. Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience: • Diploma or Degree in Oenology and Viticulture; • Minimum 5 years' relevant winemaking experience in a bulk wine environment; • Knowledge of different quality control systems; • Candidate must have strong mechanical abilities; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Wine MS).
