Our client, Bellevue Wine Estate, situated on the Bottelary road in Stellenbosch, is looking to appoint a Farm Manager with excellent communication and people management skills to join their team. This position includes management of vineyards, production of floral bouquet fillers and managing the floral packhouse. The candidate will be responsible for the following (but not limited to): *All aspects related to vineyard, floral development and maintenance *Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation and standard operating procedures *Accurate recordkeeping and compliance standards of WIETA and IPW *Compiling and managing budget for farming and packhouse activities *Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes where needed *Monitor vine health, disease management and implement appropriate measures where needed *Manage farm and packhouse staff *All other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Agriculture or related field; • Approximately 10 years’ experience in a similar role, including experience in vineyard and or flower management; • Strong understanding of wine production, grape varieties and viticulture techniques; • Knowledge of quality control measures, compliance and wine industry regulations; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office and Vineyard Management Software); • Valid driver's license and own transport.
