Our client, a small boutique wine, olive and horse farm situated between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, has the above-mentioned position available. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, is self-motivated, can handle pressure and shows initiative to enhance and help grow and manage the farming activities and learn new skills. The potential candidate will also be required to look after the manor house when the owners are away. Knowledge and experience of the following is essential: *Vineyard farm management *Winemaking and boutique wine cellar management *Olive grove management and olive production (oils and table olives) *Management of horses, dogs, and other farm animals *Farm and garden irrigation (planning, installation and maintenance) *Basic maintenance of farm implements, etc. Knowledge and experience of the following will be advantageous: Vegetable tunnel farming experience and sales/distribution experience in olives and wine.
