Our client, a leader in the supply of packaging material to various markets in the agricultural field, has a position available for a Financial Accountant. The position will be based at their office in Paarl. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, the ability to take initiative, and can work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Furthermore, this position requires a meticulous approach to work, paired with excellent planning, organising, and time-management skills. The successful candidate will act as an intermediary for Senior Managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Duties will include: *monthly management accounts *annual budget preparation *monthly internal audit preparation and facilitation *tax & statutory compliance *developing and maintaining accounting and internal control procedures *management/cost accounting *reporting *customer invoicing and debtors management *cash books, accounts payable processing, reconciliation & management *relevant HR tasks including staff contracts, leave processing, ERS biometrics clock system *all ad hoc financial functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • BCom Financial Accounting or BAcc Degree; • Either completed articles or 3 year's experience in a similar role in a related field; • Knowledge of migration of systems; • Knowledge of Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation highly advantageous; • Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Sage Pastel Partner, Sage Evolution, Pastel Payroll & HR); • Valid driver's license.
