Rhebokskloof Estate, located in Agter Paarl (Western Cape), is looking for a well-organized Banqueting Manager with excellent multi-tasting abilities and a passion for the events and banqueting industry to join their hospitality team. The ideal candidate is a confident individual with outstanding vendor management skills, and an exceptional ability to plan banquets, manage budgets and meet deadlines. Duties will include: *marketing and selling conference and banqueting facilities *scheduling reservations *operating the facilities profitably *managing food and beverage teams involved at functions and events *effective planning and implementing of event plans and concepts *updating management on banqueting and event forecasts *managing all event set-up, tear-down, and follow-up processes *signing contracts with clients *checking that bills are paid on time, handling budgeting and invoicing *all other tasks relevant to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or similar; • Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a similar role; • In-depth knowledge of the event/banqueting industry and best practice; • Strong computer skills (MS Office); • Driver's license and own reliable transport.
