Slanghoek Wine Cellar, a prestige wine cellar situated in the Slanghoek Valley just outside of Rawsonville, has the above position available for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager. The ideal appointee to this role is an analytical, practical problem-solver with a handson mindset, outstanding planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. The position focuses primarily on planning, monitoring, executing and documenting maintenance on the cellar's machinery (high pressure equipment, pumps, electrical, mechanical, and limited infrastructure (civil)). Responsibilities include: *personnel and contractor management *project management *budget management *stock management, sourcing and procurement of materials *health and safety *maintenance admin & documentation related to audits *annual maintenance planning and execution *managing priority areas for maintenance *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant technical/trade qualification (Millwright/Electrical/Mechanical); • At least 5-7 years' experience in a similar role in a factory- or production environment; • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, and relevant quality system principles; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Computer proficiency (MS Office); • Valid license and own reliable transport.
