Origin Wines, located in Stellenbosch, currently has a position available for a Winemaker to join their team. The ideal candidate is a driven individual with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for: *the process of winemaking and blending according to required standards *planning and intake of wine for bottling and bulk *preparation of wine for all bottling productions of the Origin Wine brands at the Origin Facility and External *third-party products/bottlings filled at Origin Wine site, including the administrative records, communication and signing off on third-party wines and requested services *preparation of wine for all bulk export orders at the Origin Facility *cellar staff management *cellar administration *all other tasks related to the role. Essential minimum qualifications, skills and experience: • Diploma or Degree in Oenology and Viticulture; • Minimum 5 years' relevant winemaking experience in a similar environment; • Knowledge of different quality control systems; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, Wine MS); • Reliable own transport with valid driver’s license; • Willingness to work hours as per wine industry requirements.
