Joostenberg Wine Estate, situated in the Klapmuts area, is looking to appoint a Farm Manager with strong technical and people skills. The position includesmanagement of vineyards, a small but growing livestock unit and a cut-flower production unit. Joostenberg Wine Estate is committed to organic and regenerative farming practices and the position requires a willingness to farm in an environmentally friendly way. The candidate will be responsible for the following: *all aspects related to vineyard development and maintenance (current area under vineyard is 33ha, vineyards are organically certified) *all aspects related to cut-flower growing (area under cut flowers is about 2ha and the focus is on seasonal "open-ground" plantings) *management of a small livestock unit (grazing is integrated with vineyard and cut-flower units) *farm maintenance related work *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture; • 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role, including experience in livestock farming and horticulture; • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office); • Valid driver's license and own transport.
