M A N Family Wines, a premium wine producer based in the scenic Stellenbosch area, is currently recruiting for the role of Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the accounting department and be responsible for the accounting functions of the business. This position requires a meticulous approach from a leader who can deliver accurate reports whilst understanding and managing the mid- and long term financial indicators, recognising and understanding the larger concepts of business. Responsibilities will include: *ensuring financial- and regulatory compliance (SARS, Department of Labour, Insurance, Banks etc.) *managing financial and system controls *monthly journals to group financial statements *VAT reconciliations *full debtors function *processing of creditors invoices and ensuring accurate cost allocations *month-end processing and journaling *stock and cost of sales management and related reporting *customs & excise calculations and payments *liaison with auditors *SETA submissions for grant applications *actively supporting the strategic intent and form part of the core management team *all other managerial and admin functions related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification (BCom Financial- or Management Accounting); • Post-graduate qualification advantageous; • 2-4 years' experience in finance and accounts management; • Experience in the wine industry advantageous; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office required, Palladium advantageous).
