Chroni-Co, situated outside Paarl, Western Cape, is looking for an Operations Manager. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong management, planning, and interpersonal skills, with a technology embracing attitude. The main purpose of the role is to optimally manage all operations related to the cultivation facility and production processes. Duties will include (but not be limited to): *personnel management *developing and training facility staff *ensuring quality product output, accuracy and consistency in facility processes and documentation *building and implementing best practice policies and principles *health and safety practices *developing/improving of SOP's for the facility *ensuring compliance to all necessary industry quality assurance standards *optimization of facility equipment and technologies *reporting *liaising with stakeholders *planning, coordination and management of materials/resources *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture/Operations/Production/Manufacturing; • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position in agricultural crop production with knowledge of process flows; • Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically Excel); • Valid driver's license; • Clean criminal record.
