Simonsig Wine Estate, situated in the famous Stellenbosch wine region and known for their range of internationally acclaimed wines, is looking for an exceptional and passionate Brand Ambassador to join their Sales and Marketing team to represent their premium labels in the Western Cape, Garden Route and Eastern Cape. The successful candidate is a dynamic self-starter who is knowledgeable in the sphere of wine and well geared to establish and maintain working relationships in the world of wine, food, and hospitality. The successful candidate will report to the National Sales Manager and be responsible for (but not limited to): *Promotion & Sales of core and affiliated brands in the on/off consumption channels *Focusing on new opportunities in the trade *Identifying wholesalers and redistributors in outlying areas *Merchandising and monitoring of stock levels *Conducting informative & knowledgeable premium wine tastings (large groups and private wine clubs) *Conducting promotional activities *Identifying influencers in decentralized areas to punt the Simonsig Mandate *Building and maintaining close client relationships *Advancement of the brand through education around it's DNA and rich family history *Working closely with Simonsig’s National Distributor to promote wines and increase sales *All other functions related to the position. Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant qualification in wine (WSET level 2 or 3 or similar); • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role in the wine industry or liquor marketing/distribution environment with knowledge of the FMCG; Hospitality and premium Wine/Beverage/Liquor market; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office); • Excellent interpersonal skills (English); • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle; • Willingness to travel and work extended hours as and when necessary.
