Mouton Citrus, situated in the beautiful Citrusdal valley, as a vertically integrated company and leader in the citrus industry, has an opportunity for a self motivated individual with advanced leadership and managerial capabilities to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the allocated farms (450-650ha citrus) within the Mouton Citrus group. The main drivers for success will include Citrus production, Irrigation systems, People and community management, Fleet and infrastructure management, and Company culture. Duties will include: *Facilitate collaboration with colleagues and advisors to formulate ideal production strategies *Setup operational management structure with necessary team selection *Develop leaders to foster an activated and empowered workforce with decision making at the lowest level possible *Mobilisation of workforce to ensure aligned priorities, focus and preparedness *Drive operational excellence *Ensure data integrity and accurate business decision making *Tracking progress, productivity, and cost of various operational disciplines *Financial & operational reporting in relation to targets, budget and benchmarking *Implement controls to meet compliance, social and sustainability objectives aligned with marketing strategy and core values *All other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification (BSc, BCom or similar will be advantageous); • Relevant and proven management and operational experience (10+ years), preferably within a citrus production environment; • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office) with a technology embracing attitude; • The ideal candidate is a team player, energetic, a problem solver with a practical side and has a passion for farming, horticulture, irrigation, and people.
