Our client, one of the leading companies in South Africa supplying German and Italian equipment and products to the wine-, beer- and beverage market, is looking for a suitably qualified individual with sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering, who will thrive working in the Agricultural sector. Our client’s product range includes filtration-, destemming-, separation- and a variety of oenological (wine) products. The position will focus mostly on electrical work, but with a definite overlap to the mechanical areas of expertise. The ideal candidate should be outstanding in mechanical fault-finding and should enjoy recommending and advising clients on optimal solutions. The incumbent will build relationships with clients through new installations, planning & performing services or repairs and preventative maintenance of the electro-mechanical equipment. The successful candidate must be willing to travel (estimate of 50%) to and between clients (company vehicle), and also be willing to attend annual training in Europe with the manufacturers (3-4 weeks per annum). Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechanical engineering; • Candidates with minimum 1 year working experience obtained with an internship/apprenticeship, and more senior candidates with 3-5 years’ post-studies experience may be considered; • Must be willing to work shifts, if needed; • Must be willing to work overtime, be on standby, attend to breakdowns or emergency technical repairs outside of normal working hours, as and when needed; • Valid driver's license.
