The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective, trusting relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *providing social work services to learners and parents *trauma management *facilitating workshops for the school community around social issues *maintaining appropriate records of counselling *keeping abreast of social work and educational policy changes and new trends *assisting the Head of HR in administrative duties and personnel grievances *counselling and supporting learners, and parents with learning and social challenges *all other tasks relevant to the role. Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience: • A recognised four-year degree in social work or equivalent qualification; • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, including experience providing social work services to learners and parents; • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Excellent computer skills (MS Office); • Own reliable transport.
