Our client, a leader in the supply of packaging material to various markets in the agricultural field, based in Paarl, has a position for a Financial Accountant to monitor financial data and prepare accurate statements - an ideal position for a proactive and analytical individual looking to grow with the company. The successful candidate will act as an intermediary for Senior Managers, conducting cost and revenues analyses. Duties will include: *monthly management accounts *annual budget preparation *monthly internal audit preparation and facilitation *tax & statutory compliance *developing and maintaining accounting and internal control procedures *management/cost accounting *reporting *customer invoicing and debtors management *cash books, accounts payable processing, reconciliation & management *relevant HR tasks including staff contracts, leave processing, ERS biometrics clock system *all ad hoc financial functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • BCom Accounting degree or similar qualification; • Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role in a related field; • Knowledge of migration of systems; • Knowledge of Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation advantageous; • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel & software such as Sage Pastel Partner, Sage Evolution, Pastel Payroll); • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); • Driver's license.
