Ceres Fruit Growers, one of the leading fruit, packaging and marketing companies in SA, has the above position available for an energetic and professional person to join their team at their Ceres (Western Cape) facility. The cold storage of fruit forms an important part of CFG’s operations, who has extensive refrigeration facilities that include both regular and controlled atmosphere cold storage. The successful candidate will be responsible for: *maintenance of all ammonia cooling equipment (pumps, water pumps, cooling compressors, air compressors etc.) *error detection on all ammonia cooling equipment *continuous inspections and record keeping of maintenance and safety systems *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: • Relevant N3 equivalent qualification with completed trade test; • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience; • Experience with cooling installations will be highly advantageous; • Strong mechanical abilities and electrical proficiency; • Willingness to work alternating standby hours as needed (overtime & weekends).
