Our client, a well-established family-owned poultry farm with operations in Klapmuts, Wellington and Paarl, currently has the above position available for an analytical and detail-oriented candidate with excellent accounting knowledge, to be in charge of the accounting function. The position will be based in Paarl. The incumbent will be responsible for: *Capturing of payments, Income tax and preparing provisional tax calculations *Capturing bank transactions and journals *Daily bank reconciliations *Capturing of invoices (Debtors and creditors) *Preparing debtors & creditors reconciliations and age analysis *Allocation of expenses to correct accounts *Managing of petty cash *Preparing monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts *Preparing draft financials for audits *Monthly VAT reconciliations and VAT201 submissions *Monthly PAYE, UIF and SDL capturing on e-filing *Adhoc financial functions related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Accounting degree; • Completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA Articles; • Minimum of 3 years’ post article experience; • Excellent computer skills (specifically Microsoft Excel & Pastel); • Excellent attention to detail; • Ability to work well independently.
