Namaqua Wines, currently has a position available for a dynamic Assistant Winemaker to join their team. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English) and the ability to perform well in both team context and individually. The Assistant Winemaker will report to the Winemakers and will be responsible for (but not limited to): *winemaking process as part of the winemaking team *blending and stabilisation of wine *support of harvest activities *quality control and cellar hygiene *inventory management *wine cellar administration and record keeping *all other functions related to the position. Essential minimum qualifications, skills and experience: • BSc Agric Viticulture and Oenology, Elsenburg Qualification or similar; • Minimum 6 months relevant experience; • Excellent computer proficiency; • Reliable own transport with valid driver’s license; • Willingness to work overtime when required, especially during harvest season.
