Landman Clift, a construction company located in Paarl, has the above position available for an individual with excellent project management, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for all duties related to: *completing sub-contractor and labour only planning, management, execution and quality control *quality approvals to all trades *meeting and improving on timelines and costings *balancing and optimising resources *assisting QS in monitoring of site expenditure and costs *notifying Contracts Manager and QS of extra work, changes and claims *negotiating rates for minor extra works and variation orders *ensuring that staff meets quality requirements and specifications *developing and maintaining good customer and supplier relationships *accepting and delegating responsibility *promoting safety awareness and ensuring health and safety compliance on all sites *all other tasks related to the position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: • Construction related degree (BSc/BTech); • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including in a management capacity; • Extensive knowledge of the construction/building industry; • Excellent technical background and skills in a construction environment; • Valid driver's license.
